Editing video feedback and learner response

https://youtu.be/-p0w_VSENJE?si=qG-vslCUAiOPutmG 1) Feedback/comments from teacher - good planning , shot list and script; fade outs , 180 rule match on action . EBI - longer video  2) Feedback from fellow students - good parallel and contrapuntal sounds , enigma codes , cinematography  3) My video was executed quite well i followed the 180 rule and the match on action used parallel and non-diegetic sounds also effects in my editing of the video. I also included hidden cut shots from different setting and had fade ins as well.  4)   One of the main things I did well in this video was using different camera techniques and effects. I actually managed to pull off the 180‑degree rule, clean cut shots, shot‑reverse‑shot, and even some blur effects, which made the video look a lot more put together. I feel like the technical side was definitely my strongest part, and it shows that I’m getting more confident with filming and editing. My biggest weaknes...

https://youtu.be/6XMuUVw7TOM?si=Tin5FTUiHzUOLOg1   - Baby driver 2017 When I watched this video, the first thing that stood out to me was how the editing matched the music. The cuts weren’t random; they were timed exactly with the beat of the soundtrack. This made the whole thing feel fast and energetic, almost like the music was controlling the pace of the story. The shots were short because the music was quick, and that gave the video a sense of urgency. It’s not the kind of editing that hides itself , instead, it makes you notice it. The exaggerated timing of the cuts makes the audience pay attention, and it adds to the excitement. It feels like the editing is part of the performance, not just something in the background. During the robbery scene, the editing uses match on action a lot. This means when a character starts doing something in one shot, like opening a door or grabbing a bag, the next shot continues that same action smoothly. Even though the cuts are fast, this tech...

Editing video planning

plan / notes:  Starting with a flashback of witnessing a creature , cutting into 2 people having a conversation of what they witnessed using the 180 rule and shot reverse shot .  My creation video is primarily the use of different shots of match on action , the 180 rule and the cut shots .  The video isn't 60 seconds long as my creativity thinking wasn't the best in this period of time and also trying to ask infants to participate was challenging for then to follow instructions so the clips would look real for the audience wouldn't notice the out of character,   -    https://youtu.be/-p0w_VSENJE?si=qG-vslCUAiOPutmG script : living room: The little boy sleeping all cozy and comfy. Whilst sleeping a flash back occurs of a nightmare the boy has. common room: The creation of the 'monster' opening the door and entering - match on action. Living room : The boy with little sister going to read a book remembers to tell her the nightmare he sees in school. ...

Cinematography video feedback and learner response

F eedback from Bush - EBI: spelling , add more description  WWW: POV from helmet , monochrome/ blur effec t , blur start and finish and parallel soundtrack  Feedback from students -  EBI : attention to detail and more description  WWW: post-production editing , use of audio - parallel , variety of different shot angles and props used  Reflection : my cinematography production was amazingly produced where I captured a POV in a helmet fitting the aesthetic of the editing. However, there are few areas to improve like my shot list correcting spelling error and adding more description although I wanted to keep an enigma code . My attempt to shot cut shot of the door could be more improved running in the correct time, overall my production was executed great and was fun to film it at 2am last minute as the pressure pushed my creativity.

Find the opening sequence to a film or TV drama of your choice on YouTube and e mbed the video in a blogpost called 'Cinematography blog tasks'.  Watch till 1.00 Eastenders   Eastenders is one of the best British soap tv program because not only the narrative is interesting , the cinematography of the different angle shots draws the audience in where in the video it starts as a close up on a letter it portrays the main suspense to build up and give an enigma mode , there is a lot of cut shots where its on one character to another. the second shot is an over the shoulder shot where we see 2 other characters and the women opening a letter, this gives the audience a feel of who's in the room and the setting. There's a lot of close up on an object paper related as it signifies a person of conflict who's given a present in this context. This gives the audience the setting and character based on shoulder shots and the close up gives the narrative away as well...
