Conclave' Film Review

The films atmosphere immerses readers in the claustrophobic setting of the conclave, where secrecy and tradition collide with ambition and human frailty. Where the characters are portrayed with depth and moral complexity, standing apart from the political manoeuvring yet drawn into its intrigue. The film is tense, behind‑closed‑doors thriller about the election of a new Pope. It strips away the mystery of the Vatican ritual and shows the cardinals as flawed, ambitious and deeply human. Harris keeps the suspense tight, and the final twist lands with real impact. My favourite part is the ending as the plot twist was very unexpected and against the tradition in the time the film was set.

Sound video feedback and learner response

  1)  Mr Bush - WWW : used my own footage with variety of shots and included a very good opening                           -  EBI : to make my contrapuntal and parallel more clear in my video  2) Fellow students - all agreed on the use of my own videos and the choice of music I included and all agreed it was tricky to figure out what was parallel and contrapuntal   3) WWW - I think that my video was composed great as I used my own variety of videos , creating a montage of city and attraction life vs bhangra dance. Sound analysis

  1) Find a film clip on YouTube that uses sound in an interesting way. Analyse the use of sound, making sure you use the key language we have learned about sound in film: A Quiet Place   The Diegetic sound could be argued as well is the creature sound effects of growling as its part of the film and is happening in the clip.  The non-diegetic sound in this clip is the sounds the creature by the creature where one character is death and the audience can hear the noise it creates.   The Parallel sound is not really showed in this clip could say maybe the tv?    The contrapuntal sound is probably the girls hearing aid how the connections of the monster crashed due to the signal.  The Sound bridges are the growling of the monster and the tv9 screeching as it overlaps multiple scenes.   Remember to discuss/analyse all the different types of sound present in the clip: Music isn't fully presented in this clip   Dialogue isn't use...
