 Bladerunner -

  • E:\My docs\My Pictures\Film Stills\2334.jpg

1)The genre of the film poster is sci-fi and action.

2)This is because the posters facial expressions of the characters show the amount of aggresion. The poster shows an enigma code because it makes us think .As well as this the title 'Blade runner' shoes the idea that the protagonists could be running away from something which shows the action. The colour schemes of the building symbol the idea that the film could contain futueristic scenes. Blue, white and black.

  • 3)Overall I think that the film is about humans vs robots and the action between them. It could be considered that the film poster displays binary opposistion because of the contrast of dark and light between the man and the women.

scary movie 2 -

  • E:\My docs\My Pictures\Film Stills\996247.jpg

1)The genre of scary movie 2 is a comedy and parody.

2)This is because the typography contains sans serif text which reinforces the stereotype of informality. Their exaggerated facial expressions show the humour of the film as it is seen as dramatic. As well as this the film poster contains intertexuality as the writing on the characters shirts reference to other films.

3)Overall I believe that the film is a comedy and is aimed at teenagers. This is shown through mise-en-scene such as costume, actors, makeup and hair, setting. As well as typography and intertexuality.

    1) I think that the film is an enigma code towards the audience. This is because some people may think that the film is about a mystery but some may argue that it is about war due to the setting. The sky shows the idea of a mystery as it is dull and misty. The setting is cold which could reflect his isolated emotions towards society. The long shot is seen as very unconventional and gives the idea about a mystery.

    2) I think the genres of the film can be seen as war, sadness and mystery. This is because the      desaturated colour scheme portrays these genres.

3)The film's target audience is for adults and the elderly people. This is due to the films poster colour scheme and the setting itself. The film can overall be seen as niche because it only targets a certain demographic. As well as this the film can be conveyed as a independent film rather than a Hollywood blockbuster film. It is also a low budgeted film(art-house)  as the poster can be seen as not very high quality.

I'm not scared -
  • E:\My docs\My Pictures\Film Stills\28QUAD.jpg

    1) I think that the film is about a boy who conquers his fears. This is because of the title 'Im not scared' which shows connotations of someone who is determined to face their fears. The boys facial expressions display his determination. This could be due to the setting being a hole. It creates a enigma and action code because we think what lies beneath this hole and why is the boy so scared of it. The colour scheme and lighting is very juxtaposing within the setting. Behind the boy is high-key lighting with blue and white skies. This could connote the purity and happiness the boy might leave behind once he enters the hole. Contrastingly in front of the boy the lighting is low-key and dull. The colour scheme of black and brown could connote an unpleasant feeling as the colours associate with dirt and mystery.

2 ) I believe the genre of the film is mystery because there is an enigma and action code within the film poster.

    3) I think that the film target audience is for families.T his is because it teaches kids to face their fears and be determined. The film also targets a niche audience because of the demographic age. The film is also an independent film(art house) as we can tell there is not much money put in to the production

Sin city -

E:\My docs\My Pictures\Film Stills\503494.jpg

1) I think the story line of the film contains a mystery. However the typography of 'Sin city' could connote an out of pocket world where everyone has been under the influence of committing sinful actions due to a villain. The characters in the film poster could be argued as the only people who are able to save humanity and restore it. Their props such as guns and knives could display how they are aggressive but determined to help humanity. The colour scheme of white black and a hint of purple can connote an eerie feeling the film gives because it is not seen as something normal in society.

2)I believe that the genre of the film is action, horror and mystery.

30 The target audience is for teenagers and adults. This is because the characters also give off 2000s vibe which targets adults as of the time of production and their demographics. The use of the props being swords and guns display a nostalgic vibe to adults. This is because in modern day and age most movies only contain guns.

Pirates of the Caribbean -

E:\My docs\My Pictures\Film Stills\PFD1671.jpg

1 ) I think that this film is defiantly about pirates. This is because of the typography and name of the film being 'Pirates of the Caribbean' shows denotations of pirates who are sailing through the Caribbean. The colour scheme shows white light green grey and a hint of brown. These colours show connotations of a mystery and being on an adventure. Their costumes reinforce typical pirate costumes due to the bandanna. The red bandanna and the facial expressions of the man could connote violence as he looks aggressive.

2) i think that the genre of the film is adventure and mystery

3) I believe the target audience is for kids and teenagers. This is because this demographic are interested in adventure types of films

Bride and prejudice -

E:\My docs\My Pictures\Film Stills\985911.jpg

1) I think that the story line of the film is about a love story. It seems to be from people who come from two different backgrounds and different struggles in life. Through the title of 'bride and prejudice' it could create an enigma code because there could be two outcomes of film. One could be argued that the girl in the story is obviously the bride and the man faces prejudice for being with her because of his family.contrastingly the film could be about this couple who gets married but faces prejudice by  everyone around them.

2)I believe that the genre of the film is romance

3) I believe that the target audience of this film could be adults and teenagers. This is because the film is about romance and should not be associated with kids. As well as this the reviews are partially explicit. The words 'so sexy' could connote that there is quite a lot of nudity within the film.

million dollar baby -

E:\My docs\My Pictures\Film Stills\503577.jpg

1) I believe that the film is about boxing and romance. The film poster itself is an enigma and action code. This is because it could connote that their facial expressions show that they are enemies but they may become lovers. The colour scheme of just black and red can highlight aggression because they are boxers and their life is accosiated with hurting people to win.

2 )i think that the genre of this film is action

3) I believe that the target audience for this film is adults. This is because it is associated with violence which could be unpleasant for teenagers and kids. However it could target the psycho graphic of people aspiring to become boxers.
