Ignite presentation learner response

1) Type up your feedback in full including the ratings out of five for each of the categories.

WWW - clear into and conclusion, pictures and simple, concept clear, colour scheme and theorist, presentation was great

EBI - mispronounced contemporary and briefly touched theorist

1 - 4

2 - 5

3 - 3

4 - 3

5 - 4

6 - 5

= 24

2) Use this feedback, comments from peers and your own reflection on your presentation to self-assess and write your own detailed WWW and EBI for your coursework concept and presentation as a whole.

WWW - my whole research was in depth and my execution of my presentation was one of the best
EBI - uses of media theorist was briefly touched

3) Write a paragraph discussing how your presentation will lead into your actual coursework production. Do you need to update your statement of intent? Does your concept offer enough clarity? Is it appropriate for the audience specified in the brief? Is it achievable to film with the resources you have available? Can you add media terminology or theory to your statement of intent now you have reflected on your presentation and seen others?

My presentation acts as a bridge into my actual coursework production because it allowed me to test my concept, clarify my creative direction, and identify what needs strengthening before I begin filming. After reflecting on my delivery and seeing other students’ ideas, I can now update my Statement of Intent with clearer references to media language, representation and audience theory, ensuring it aligns more closely with the AQA brief. My concept is now more focused and offers enough clarity for the target audience, as it demonstrates how my TikTok videos will use familiar conventions—such as fast‑paced editing, direct address and music‑driven transitions—to engage a 14–18 demographic. It is also achievable with the resources I have available, as the locations, props and performers required are realistic for school‑based production. Moving forward, I can strengthen my Statement of Intent by explicitly referencing theories such as Blumler and Katz’s Uses and Gratifications, Hall’s Reception Theory, and key media‑language terminology like mise‑en‑scene, visual codes and narrative structure. This reflection ensures my coursework is not only creatively coherent but academically justified.
